 Refresher FPFF (Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting)

 Refresher PST (Personal Survival Techniques)

  • Types of emergencies at sea
  • Survival craft and rescue boats
  • Use of lifejackets, immersion suits, and liferafts
  • Launching and boarding survival craft
  • Survival at sea techniques (hypothermia prevention, distress signals)
  • Practical water survival drill

The course is meets the training requirements laid down in Regulation V/3, paragraph 5, Section A-V/3-1 and Table A-V/3-1 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW), and Code 1978, as amended.

The candidate has also met the additional criteria specified in the STCW Convention, applicable to the issue of the certificate.

 

Eligibility Criteria :

  • Valid or expired FPFF & PST certificates
  • Seafarers requiring revalidation under STCW Convention

 

Competency Outcome – Refresher in (FPFF+PST)  :

  1. Demonstrate updated knowledge as per STCW standards
  2. Enhance confidence in handling onboard emergencies
  3. Contribute effectively to shipboard safety and emergency response
