Sakshi Institute of Maritime Foundation (SIMF) is a Directorate General of Shipping (D.G. Shipping), Mumbai-approved Maritime Training College, committed to delivering high-quality training in accordance with national and international standards. The institute conducts a range of approved courses designed to equip candidates with essential maritime skills and competencies required for a successful career at sea. SIMF proudly supports and participates in the Government of India’s flagship skill development initiative DDU-GKY, aimed at empowering rural youth through structured training and placement opportunities.
DDU-GKY is a placement-linked skill development program under the Ministry of Rural Development (MORD), designed to transform rural poor youth into a skilled workforce. The program focuses on enhancing employability through industry-relevant training and ensures sustainable livelihoods.
